At least 103 Daesh militants were killed in Iraq’s Salah ad-Din, Nineveh and Anbar provinces in operations staged by Iraqi forces and allied forces.

The Iraqi Defense Ministry said in a statement that the international coalition’s strikes have damaged many Daesh positions and destroyed their ammunitions.

Twenty-six Daesh militants were killed in Saladin,12 in Samarra, 16 in Anbar’s Ramadi city, and four in Nineveh.

The Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement that 45 Daesh militants were killed 40 kilometers west of Baghdad in a joint operation of the Iraqi army and other anti-Daesh forces.

Separately, at least six people were killed and 17 others injured in bomb attacks in several regions of capital Baghdad.

The Iraqi central government, Iraqi Kurdish security forces and Shia forces have been fighting Daesh militants since they took the control of Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, in mid-June 2014, and declared what they said was a "caliphate" in Iraq and Syria.

A U.S.-led international coalition has been staging airstrikes against Daesh objectives in Iraq and Syria since mid-September 2014.
