Majority of Iranians support government's foreign policy: Rouhani

Iran is committed to resolve its problems with the world through negotiation and despite opposition of a minority group, majority of Iranians support government's constructive and interactive foreign policy towards world, President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday.

Speaking in Tehran western suburbs, he noted that Iran's strong negotiating team would continue its step-by-step realization of nation's right.

Iran's negotiating team and representative of the European Union (EU) are to start the fifth round of nuclear talks in the Austrian capital on Tuesday, IRNA reports.

Despite opposition of a minority group, majority of Iranians support government's constructive and interactive foreign policy towards world, the President noted.

Rouhani said that the administration would continue its moderate policy under the support of nation, adding that the government is duty bound to follow the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khameni.

Also last night Abbas Araqchi deputy of Javd Zarif Iran’s Foreign Minister and head of country’s negation team in a televised interview with the IRIB said that the Iranian negotiating delegation is committed to observing the country’s red lines in the nuclear talks with the P5+1 group of countries.

He urged boost of solidarity among Muslims as well as Iranian nation as a precondition to resolution of socio-economic problems.

President cautioned the Muslim world and Iranians against enemies' divisive plots which aim to spread unrest in the region.

Iran wants to have peaceful coexistence with its neighbors and all countries in the world and it is committed to resolve its problems in the international community through logical talks, Rouhani added.
