More than 2,000 killed in massive Nepal quake

More than 2,000 are dead after a powerful 7.8 magnitude quake rocked Nepal on Saturday.

Also earthquake in Nepal unleashed an avalanche on Mount Everest killing at least 10 people at the start of the main climbing season.

Today a 6.7-magnitude aftershock struck earthquake-devastated Nepal on Sunday, the USGS said, with climbers reporting the tremor triggered more avalanches on Mount Everest.

The latest quake struck northeast of Kathmandu near the border with China at a depth of 10 kilometers, the US Geological Survey said.
