Iranian protestors gathered in front of the Saudi mission in Tehran on Saturday to condemn the Saudi police's aggressive acts against the Iranian pilgrims, including the sexual abuse of two juniors.

Earlier this month, two Iranian teenagers were sexually abused by the Saudi police in Jeddah Airport as Saudis’ insolence towards Iranian Umrah pilgrims in Mecca and Medina has increased recently.

While performing body search on passengers at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi officers reportedly took two Iranian teenagers, aged 14 and 15, away, citing suspicion. The officers, who had sounded off the alarm at the gate, subjected the teenagers to indecent acts.

Following the incident, Iran summoned the Saudi chargé d’affaires and submitted a note of complaint to the Saudi government.

“Immediately after being informed of the immoral act, the Iranian Foreign Ministry followed up on the matter with seriousness and our colleagues in Jeddah arrived at the city’s airport after being notified and investigated the matter with senior airport authorities in attendance,” Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Wednesday.

Afkham added that Saudi authorities had voiced disgust at the abuse and said the culprits would face religious and legal punishment.

Saudi Arabia says it has arrested the two officers who sexually harassed the teenagers.

During the gathering today, the protestors called on the Saudi authorities to punish those behind the sexual abuse against the two Iranian teenage boys, and asked the Saudi King Salman to apologize to the Iranian nation for the aggressive move.

They also urged the closure of the Saudi embassy in Tehran and expulsion of the Saudi charge de' affairs.

The angry protestors chanted slogans against the Saudi regime, and called for halting the Iranians' visit to Saudi Arabia for Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca. The gathering wrapped up after 4 hours.

Moreover a large group of Mashadi citizens on Saturday for a second day in a row staged a protest rally in front of Consulate of Saudi Arabia in their city. The protesters crowded the city's Datsqeyb Boulevard and all other streets leading to the Saudi Consulate were chanting 'Down with Ale Saud' slogan.

They were meanwhile carrying placards demanding severe punishment for two Saudi airport officials who had offended two Iranian youngsters in Jeddah airport.
