Among the Palestinian Arab fighters beheaded by the ISIS terrorist group in Damascus's Yarmouk camp reportedly is a senior Hamas related figure in Syria, according to emerging reports.

ISIS militants besieging a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria's capital have savagely beheaded the leaders of a Hamas-linked group opposed to President Bashar Assad, it has been claimed one of them is Sheikh Abu Salah Taha which reportedly beheaded by ISIS, mail online reports.

ISIS' decision to publicly execute the men - as well as reports of the deaths of dozens more Palestinians during clashes inside Yarmouk - has prompted outrage in Gaza, where hundreds of furious Hamas supporters swore bloody revenge on the terror group during a march yesterday.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the refugees who have fled the camp have reached the southern Damascus suburbs of Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahem, which are under the control of anti-government rebels.

Chris Gunness, a spokesman for the U.N. agency that supports Palestinian refugees known as UNRWA, last night said that the agency has not been able to send any food nor any convoys into the camp since the current round of fighting started.

On the other hand, an official in the support network for the Palestinian refugee camps in Syria said Sunday that a Hamas-on affiliated group is fighting the ISIS in Damascus' Yarmouk refugee camp, MAAN News Agency reports.

Ayman Abu Hashem told Ma'an that the Aknaf Bayt al-Maqdes group was fighting ISIS despite a decision by PLO factions to remain neutral in the Syrian civil war.
Earlier Sunday, a Palestinian official said that around 2,000 people had been evacuated from Yarmouk after IS seized large parts of it.

The group said at least 26 people, including civilians as well as fighters from ISIS and Palestinian factions, had been killed in the camp since Wednesday.

Activists say sporadic clashes are striking a Palestinian refugee camp in the Syrian capital, a situation a U.N. official describes as "beyond inhumane."
Hatem al-Dimashqi, an activist based in an area just south of Damascus, said the Yarmouk camp witnessed sporadic clashes and shelling Monday.

The inhabitants of the refugee camp on the outskirts of Syria say they are not sure which is worse, the arrival of ISIS, or the starvation and war that preceded it.

Chris Gunness, a spokesman for the UN agency that supports Palestinian refugees known as UNRWA, said it has not been able to send food or convoys into the camp since the current round of fighting started.
