At least 18 people killed Thursday in clashes between supporters of former President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi and Ansarullah advancing on a town bordering Aden, where the former president has sought refuge.

Ansarullah revolutionary movement stressed that the Yemeni army and the popular committees are standing in one line against the Saudi war on Yemen.

In an interview with al-Manar, Ansarullah Official Ali al-Qahoum said that the Yemeni people will defend their country and its sovereignty against the Saudi attack.

But in the south of country, at least 18 people killed Thursday in clashes between supporters of Hadi and Ansarullah advancing on a town bordering Aden, where the former president has sought refuge, a local official said.

The clashes erupted in Huta, capital of the southern Lahj province, when the pro-Hadi forces were resisting a Houthis advance, the official said.

The Houthis, who reached Huta's northern entrance on Wednesday, pressed on towards the city centre where they clashed with the Hadi's popular committees, the source added.

They traded gunfire near the local adminstration headquarters and the police complex, security officials told AFP, confirming five pro-Hadi fighters were killed.

Also Sudan's defence minister said on Thursday his country would take part "with air and ground troops in aggression to Yemen.

Abdel Raheem Mohammed Hussein told reporters Sudanese forces had begun "mechanical movements" towards the area of operations.

Also Turkey says supports Saudi military intervention in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia and Persian Gulf region allies including 10- nation launched air strikes in Yemen on Thursday which killed and wounded many and cause so much civilian destruction.
