Iran and US Discussing Details of Deal: Zarif

The fourth day of nuclear talks between Iran and US negotiators begins at 9 o'clock local time on Wednesday in the Swiss town of Lausanne.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry head their countries' delegations in the talks.

Iran Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Chief Ali Akbar Salehi, US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, Deputies to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht Ravanchi, President Rouhani's Envoy Hossein Fereydoun, and US under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman will also be present in Wednesday talks.

"'At this juncture, it is unlikely that we need presence of all foreign ministers,' Zarif told reporters on Wednesday morning in Lausanne."

At the end of Tuesdy talks, Salehi said the two sides have agreed on 90 percent of technical issues. He added only one more final issue is left and he is optimistic in general.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammd Javad Zarif said nuclear talks have reached fine details which demand a lot of work, IRNA reports.

'At this juncture, it is unlikely that we need presence of all foreign ministers,' he told reporters on Wednesday morning in Lausanne.

Zarif added, 'We are trying to narrow the differences; in some issues, we've been closer but in some other problems, the solutions are more distant'.

Minister of Foreign Affairs added negotiations will continue on Wednesday and Thursday and if the other side has the necessary political will, then the talks will go forward.

The ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and the world six powers have reached a “very sensitive and complicated” stage, Spokeswoman of Foreign Ministry Marziyeh Afkham said on Wednesday.

Her comments came after Chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi who is in Lausanne, Switzerland said that Tehran and the Washington have resolved their differences over 90 percent of the issues in the talks on Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
