Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Sunday raided the flashpoint site of Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil escorted by a security force, 2 days before polls.
The Palestinian official denounced the incursion and stressed that the mosque is "entirely Islamic and that Jews have no claim to it whatsoever."
Lieberman added that among the main demands of his party is "eliminating the Hamas movement and pledging to not disengage from the West Bank the same we withdrew from Gaza."
Lieberman had earlier said that he expects his party to garner 11 seats.
