A source within the Jordanian government said Thursday that the government has considered a limited ground offensive as a response to the ISIS group's killing of a Jordanian air force pilot by burning him alive in a cage, according to a report in the Jordanian daily Al Arab Al Yawm.
According to the government source, the Jordanian's are considering carrying out a huge blow against the ISIS group and then plan on putting together a new strategy with the international coalition in order to dismantle the terror group.
On Thursday, it was also reported that Jordanian Air Force had carried out airstrikes targeting ISIS positions in Syria. The country's fighter jets are said to have flown over Kasaesbeh's hometown in a tribute to the pilot following their mission.
