Iran Criticizes World Powers for Double-Standards in Fighting Terror

Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian criticized the double-standards of the US and some countries in fighting terrorism, IRNA reports.

'Making use of the terrorists is a dangerous game that threatens both regional stability and global security,' Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with his Italian counterpart Lapo Pistelli in Tehran on Friday.

'The region in a very sensitive situation and the present developments and real campaign against terrorism will be a determining factor,' Amir Abdollahian added.

Deputy Foreign Minister pointed to the strengthening of political trend in the countries exposed to terrorist threats and combating terrorism as two important parameters to form the future political equations of the region, and said, 'It is necessary that the regional countries and the international community to deal with the issue in a serious, realistic and wise manner.'
