The Lebanese army intelligence unit has detained five Syrians suspected of being linked to Takfiri terror groups in the southern town of Marjeyoun.
The arrested individuals, from the Salami family, were reportedly in contact with Takfiri terrorists through the social media application Whatsapp, Lebanon-based Al-Manar news network reported on Sunday.
The five Syrian were interrogated by local officer before being handed over to relevant Lebanese authorities.
The development came as the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces had earlier arrested another Syrian, also in Marjeyoun, over contacts with Takfiri terrorists.
