Syrians from the occupied Golan Heights and the surrounding areas issued a statement following the rally on Monday, denouncing crimes committed by armed terrorist groups against Syrian cities and villages.
The people also expressed confidence that Syrians and the country’s army will put an end to the terrorist crimes committed by Takfiri groups in the Middle Eastern country.
“These armed terrorist groups, no matter what names they come under, are nothing but pawns of the US and Israel,” they added in the statement.
The people further noted that all attempts made to undermine the Syrians’ steadfastness are doomed to fail.
The Syrian army has been making more gains in its battle in recent months, despite support the militants have been receiving from various countries.
Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011. According to some sources, more than 170,000 people have been killed and millions displaced due to the violence fueled by the foreign-backed militants.
The Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and, Turkey -- are reportedly supporting the militants operating inside Syria.
