In Sunday operations, Syrian Army units in and around Aleppo targeted insurgent staging grounds and bunkers in al-Sakhour, al-Zebdiyeh, al-Rashidin, Bustan al-Qaser, Babis, al-Sheikh Said, Marea, Ebtin, Ard al-Mallah, Dahret Abed Rabbouh, Tal Refa’at, Kafer Hamra and al-Jandoul, destroying their weaponry and killing or wounding scores of armed militants and terrorists.

This is while in Daraa countryside, government troops destroyed a barricade erected by the armed insurgents between al-Msaifrah and Um Walad towns to attack and loot local residents. During the operation Syrian forces also eliminated all the armed militants in the area and demolished their fortifications, Syrian state news agency SANA reported.

The report further cited a Syrian military source as saying that army units targeted insurgent staging areas to the west of al-Mayazen Bridge in the eastern suburbs of Daraa.

The army units also targeted an armed insurgent group in Inkhel City and terrorist hideouts on Jordan Street in the town of Kahil, northwest of the old customs and surrounding al-Khalil Mosque in Daraa al-Balad, killing and injuring numerous insurgents.

Additionally, in the outskirts of Homs, government forces carried out an ambush operation on al-Ghanto-al-Farhaniyeh road, destroying a vehicle carrying a number of terrorists along with a cache of ammunition and weaponry, killing all its occupants.

Another army unit destroyed a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun and bulldozer in Om Sharshouh village.

A military source further told SANA that Syrian forces also targeted an insurgent staging ground in al-Nasera neighborhood in Taldo, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

This is while an army unit killed and injured all members of an armed insurgent gang east of al-Bado Hill in the Homs countryside.
