Iraq’s Interior Ministry spokesperson has dismissed press reports about the takeover of two Western border post by ISIL’s terrorist elements as untrue.
Brigadier General Saad Maan insisted on Sunday that published reports claiming that ISIL terrorist have taken control over al-Walid and Taribil border crossings are not true, al-Alam News Network reports.
Maan made the remarks in an interview with Iraq-based al-Sumaria News Network during which he further emphasized that the two border crossings remained “fully operational” under the supervision of Iraqi forces.
