Addressing a meeting with members of the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research in Tehran on Monday, the Leader said nuclear science is among the important and complicated scientific achievements of humanity.
“This science, despite its great significance, has prepared the ground for the production of the destructive atomic weapons which are one-hundred percent against humanity,” Ayatollah Khamenei stated.
The Leader added that Iran currently has the ability to produce some of the “most complicated and advanced” technologies due to its scientific achievements.
“But some of these [scientific] advances have been already achieved by scientists of other countries. So, we should seek to develop new scientific products which human knowledge has so far failed to achieve and have no destructive consequences for humanity,” the Leader pointed out.
Ayatollah Khamenei also called for endeavors to develop technologies that improve people’s lives based on human values instead of those which have a destructive impact on humanity.
