Fire razes Syrian refugee tents in east Lebanon

A fire has broken out in a Syrian refugee camp in the Bekaa Valley town of Jdita, destroying several makeshift homes and tents.

The blaze which raged across the camp on Friday dawn was brought under control after destroying dozens of tents.

According to some local media reports, the blaze destroyed 17 tents.

Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces arrived at the scene of the fire and launched an investigation to determine the cause.

No causalities were reported during the incident.
