In picture: Making rose water in Iran

Every year, thousands of tourists rush to the Iranian cities of Kashan, Qamsar and Niasar to witness the ceremony of extracting rose water during the second half of May. Rose water, a product used in many traditional Iranian dishes, and sometimes as a perfume, is extracted in a special ceremony and is a tradition specific to the Kashan region.
