“The Zionist regime (Israel) should always be concerned about the Islamic Republic of Iran’s deterrent power because if such deterrence power did not exist, the occupying regime would colonize the Middle East through wars and bloodshed,” said Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan in Sunday remarks.
“Iran’s missile capacity is defensive, conventional and deterrent and it is not up for negotiations,” Dehqan further emphasized.
The comments by Dehqan came in response to repeated calls by the Israeli regime’s top sponsor, Washington, for the inclusion of Iran's missile program in a final nuclear agreement between Tehran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.
Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei also ruled out the inclusion of Iran's missile capabilities in the nuclear talks with the P5+1 nations, describing the US-led demand as "foolish."
Dehqan also called for the annihilation of the huge stockpile of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons possessed by both the Israeli regime and the US.
The Israeli regime is widely believed to be the sole possessor of atomic weapons in the Middle East with up to 400 undeclared nuclear warheads.
This is while Tel Aviv has rejected global calls to join the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and does not allow international inspectors to inspect or monitor its controversial nuclear program.
