Fierce clashes between multi-national militant groups and the Syrian army in the northwestern province of Aleppo has left 16 militants dead and several others injured.
Syrian army launched fresh operations on militant-held areas in Aleppo which is main bastion of Saudi-backed militant groups.
According to the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights fresh clashes left at least 16 militants dead.
Official SANA news agency reported that clashes were centered on Aleppo’s central prison and the industrial city, al-Lairamon, al-Kastilo, Dahret Abd Rabbo, al-Marjah, Khan Touma and Arbid regions.
Army improvements have been slow in defeating militant groups, as people are trapped in many towns and villages by the armed groups who use them as human shields.
