The Syrian military operations against positions of the rebel forces took place on Thursday, state news agency SANA reported.
According to the report, army units eliminated many insurgent forces in al-Oqeirbat area of Hama countryside. It further identified militants Ahamad, Azzam Saleh, Saad Mousa and Dirar Yousef as among those killed.
Army troops also attacked and destroyed militant positions in several towns and neighborhoods surrounding the major city of Aleppo.
Citing a military source, the report added that units of Syrian military eliminated scores of the foreign-sponsored insurgents in al-Ansari, Bustan al-Qaser, Bani Zaid and al-Kallaseh and destroyed their military hardware.
It further reported that army units also attacked and killed numerous militants in Khan al-Assal, Fafin, Hreitan, Urum, Kwieris, Arbid, Jdeideh and area surrounding the Aleppo central prison.
Similar operations were also conducted against rebel forces in several towns and villages in Homs, including the town of Jub al-Jarah and al-Masoudieh, where army forces eliminated scores or armed insurgents that attempted to infiltrate into the neighborhoods.
Syrian troops also engage the armed militants in al-Jisri village in al-Lajat area of Daraa countryside as well as al-Maasara and al-Jamarec in Daraa city, killing many insurgents and destroying a huge amount of their weaponry.
According to the report, government forces also confronted a group of armed militants that attempted to intrude into Jordan Street of the city towards a military checkpoint, killing the entire group and destroying a number of their vehicles carrying their comrades.
