Zarif wrote on his Facebook page that he and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton "agreed on the topics of discussion for the next round... as well as the expert-level (meeting)."
As to the intensive negotiations between Iran and G5+1, Zarif said there were three fruitful working days.
Addressing a press conference, Zarif said both sides believe that the talks were a good start, adding technical experts will hold meetings.
"We also agreed to hold several meetings on a monthly basis until late May, including expert-level talks to discuss the various issues of the agenda," Zarif added.
Zarif said Ashton would travel to Tehran before the resumption of the next round of talks in Vienna on March 17.
Negotiators hope to build on an interim agreement reached in November under which Iran agreed to freeze or curb some of its nuclear activities for six months.
