The foreign-backed al-Nusra Front in Lebanon, said in a statement posted online on Friday that it would continue attacks against the resistance movement.

Hezbollah’s “bases and... bastions are legitimate targets for us, wherever they are," the statement read.

The statement by the terror group came three days after it claimed responsibility for a car bomb attack that killed four people and injured many others in the Haret Hreik area in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The Lebanese capital has experienced several deadly bomb attacks by Takfiri terrorists over the past few months.

At least 25 people, including Iran’s cultural attaché to Beirut Hojjatoleslam Ebrahim Ansari, were killed and more than 150 others injured in November after two explosions struck near the Iranian Embassy in southern Beirut.

Another al-Qaeda-linked group, Abdullah Azzam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the twin bomb attacks.

Foreign-sponsored terrorist groups in Syria have claimed most of the attacks in the southern suburbs of Beirut, describing them as retaliation for Hezbollah’s military support of the Syrian troops in their efforts to purge the country from various insurgent gangs, many of whom come from other countries across the globe, including several European nations and the US.
