The Syrian Army has succeeded in arresting one of the notorious al-Nusra Front leaders in the city of al-Raqqa, north central Syria.

Abu Anas Assaheebe, one of al-Nusra's leaders in the city of Raqqa who was first rooted by Jordan, was caught by the Syrian Army as he, dressed like a woman, was attempting to flee to Lebanon.

There is yet no official report by Damascus on his arrest.

Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- support the militants operating inside Syria.
