On Thursday, the army continued its clean-up operations in Duma city in the countryside of the capital Damascus, killing a number of the militants, the official SANA news agency reported.
Elsewhere, in Daraa countryside, the army clashed with the militants and killed scores of them.
In Idlib countryside, the Syrian troops attacked the militants’ hideouts, killing and injuring scores of them.
In the vicinity of the town of Sarmin, the Syrian soldiers killed a large number of the militants during their operations.
Furthermore, at least 37 militants were killed by the army in the neighborhoods of al-Qusour, al-Qarabis and Jouret al-Shayah in the city of Homs.
In Deir Ezzor, the army destroyed two pick-up cars equipped with anti-aircraft machine guns.
In Aleppo and its countryside, the Syrian troops destroyed a number of cars loaded with weapons and ammunition.
In Hasakah, an army unit attacked the militants operating in Tal Barak, killing a large number of them.
Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.
A recent British defense study showed that about 100,000 militants, fragmented into 1,000 groups, are fighting in Syria against the government and people.
