Six guards protecting the Iranian Embassy in Beirut have been martyred in twin bomb blasts that killed dezens of people in the Lebanese capital.
Rezvan Fares, known as Haj Reza, who was in charge of the embassy security affairs and the bodyguard of the Iranian ambassador in Beirut was found dead in the bombings on Tuesday.
A terrorist group “Abdullah Azzam” affiliated to al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the twin explosions.
Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Beirut Ebrahim Ansari was killed in the blasts.
The Tuesday attack, carried out by two suicide bombers in the predominantly Shia neighborhood of Bir Hasan in Beirut, killed at least 25 people and injured over 150 others.
