Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has issued a legislative decree granting general amnesty for those who violated military service rules until before 29/10/2013.
The decree grants general amnesty from punitive measures for violations of the military service laws, including deserters inside Syria and abroad if they rejoin the service, according to official SANA news agency.
The decree has five parts by which Assad grants amnesty to those who have left their "service under flag" which means the essential military service men has to attend.
The amnesty doesn't cover deserters who are evading the law unless they turn themselves in within 30 days if they are in Syria and within 90 days if they are abroad.
