According to press sources within the Tel Aviv regime, the new settlement expansion effort on Palestinian territories is part of a project approved by the regime back in August.
This is while the occupying regime has come under fire by the international community, including its own allies, over its expansionist policies.
However, it has persistently defied repeated calls to abandon the illegal settlement construction projects.
Moreover, the Palestinian Authority considers the settlement activities as a major hindrance to its US-sponsored negotiations with the Tel Aviv regime.
The Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 settlements built since Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds in 1967.
