Omar al-Atrash, who has allegedly carried out the recent deadly blasts in the town of Dahiyeh was killed along with two aids in the Syrian border region of Nehmat, Al-Manar news website reported Saturday.
According to the report, the three were killed when their vehicle was targeted by a rocket.
The other two individuals accompanying al-Atrash were identified as Ziad al-Atrash and Samer Houjairi.
Meanwhile, a delegation from the town of Arsal headed to the site of the incident to positively identify the corpses and confirm their deaths.
Al-Atrash is believed to be the terrorist that carried out Bir al-Abed and Ruwais bombings that killed Lebanese Army soldiers in Arsal. He is further suspected to have planned further rocket attacks against Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh.
