The Daily Star reported that the incident took place in Hallat Village on Sunday, when Hisham Abdel-Al stepped on the cluster bomb, left since the Israeli war on Lebanon in 2006.
According to a report by the United Nations, the Israeli regime dropped some four million cluster bombs in Lebanon during the July-August 2006 war.
Hundreds of Lebanese people have been wounded in cluster-bomb related incidents since 2000, when the Israeli military withdrew from south of Lebanon.
The Lebanese army, along with international organizations, has been working since 2006 to remove the deadly mines from the south.
Political analysts believe that the 33-days war carried out by Israeli regime on Lebanon was not a reaction over the kidnapping operation of 2 of its soldiers by Hezbollah, on Monday July 12th, 2006, as was claimed by the regime.
Reports drawn up by the stakeholders in Israel and the US revealed a cloaked intention to prompt a war on Lebanon, which its aim was to destroy country's infrastructure, to displace the Southern villages, and to weaken resistance against Israeli aggressions.
