According to Al-Alam reporter, the Syrian Army has also attacked some bastions of militant groups in Rif Aleppo. The clashes were mainly congested in areas including Tel Haasel and Tel-Orn.

Citing military sources, Al-Alam reporter said that during the weeping operations in al-Hovayghah district near eastern city of Dayr al-Zawr, government forces further killed dozens of militants and destroyed a large amount of weapons.

Al-Alam report also added that security forces’ artillery destroyed some main insurgent hideouts and their weaponry in the suburbs of Salmi, al-Hafeh and Salnafeh in the northern part of Latakia province.

Syrian troops gained full control over some key Aleppo's areas including al-Rashedin District following fresh advances in the strategic city.

Syria has been the scene of deadly unrest since mid-March, 2011, and many people, including large numbers of army and security personnel, have been killed in the violence.

Damascus blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists for the unrest while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the violence.

The Syrian government says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside and accuses certain Western and regional countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, of arming and funding insurgents operating in the country.
