The attack was carried out on Tuesday when two unmanned aircraft fired four missiles at two vehicles in Wadi Abidah district.

The attacks come as the United States has issued a terror alert in Arab and other countries last week, closing its embassies in several countries, including Yemen.

In another US drone attack on Sunday, six people have been killed in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan.

The administration of US President Barack Obama is using armed drones for its extensive targeted killing program in several countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.

The facts on the ground show that civilians, including women and children, are frequently killed in the raids.

According to the Washington-based think tank, the New America Foundation, the US killer drone attacks in Yemen almost tripled in 2012 compared to 2011.

In April, Yemeni National Organization for Defending Rights and Freedoms said the US drones had conducted more than 80 attacks in the country last year.
