Syria's envoy to UN Bashar al-Jaafari has criticized the governments of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey for publicly supporting terrorism in Syria.

''How could the international community allow the Saudi, Qatari and Turkish regimes to sponsor fundamentalist terrorism publicly? And how could Western governments which had suffered from terrorism accept to sponsor and support that terrorism?'' Jafaari questioned during a speech at UN General Assembly on Monday.

''Saudi Arabia's latest feat in Ramadan was the purchase of Israeli arms worth $50 millions to be shipped to the armed terrorist groups in Syria…which we hope will be the last one during Ramadan,'' Jaafari added.

''No sooner was an agreement announced between the Syrian government and the United Nations than the armed terrorist groups entered Khan al-Assal and committed a massacre against civilians and soldiers there to eliminate the witnesses who could have testified against the ones who used chemical weapons there,'' the Syrian envoy said.

At least 123 people were  killed by foreign-backed militants in Khan al-Assal Town in Syria’s northern province of Aleppo last week.

The armed terrorist group, Ansar al-Khalifa Brigade, admitted committing the massacre in Khan al-Assal.
"Massacre of Khan al-Asal has been committed to kill the witnesses who would testify in front of the general secretariat committee on the identity of who has used the chemical weapon in Khan al-Asal," al-Jaafari said.

Jaafari also called on the UN officials to consider core issues of the crisis in the Arab country to stem the problems.

Jaafari asked Chairman of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry (CoI) on Syria, Paulo Pinheiro, not to approach the crisis from a one-sided perspective.

''The Commission of Inquiry on Syria is still deliberately blowing things out of proportion when displaying its findings, also fully disregarding or downplaying core issues,'' Jaafari said.

''There are blood-curdling scenes that flagrantly contravene the Syrians' dignity and human rights regarding the crimes of the armed terrorist groups, ranging from eating human flesh, cutting throats, mutilating bodies, beheadings on sectarian and confessional grounds, throwing bodies from rooftops to committing hundreds of suicide bombings… ,'' he added.

He went on to say that the UN should mention in its reports the European countries which are stealing Syria’s resources, saying “It was better for the inquiry committee to mention in its reports the acts of burglary on the Syrian national resources by a number of states in the Europe which openly buy the Syrian stolen oil from the armed terrorist groups.”

The unrest in Syria started in March 2011, when pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following intervention of western and regional states.

Many Syrians who sided with the opposition at start of the protests have now turned to side with the government and the army to defend their country against foreign-backed extremists.
