The Syrian armed forces killed several terrorists including two Somali militants and one Saudi near the coastal city of Latakia on Thursday.
The report added that the government troops advanced against the foreign-backed militants in outskirts of Latakia, destroying hideouts of the al-Nusra Front terrorists.
Referring to the ongoing clashes in Street 30 of the city, our correspondent said that the army targeted militants in Yarmouk Camp and al-Hajar al-Aswad District.
The Syrian forces have also hit militants’ hideouts in Arbin and al-Diyabiah neighborhoods of the capital, Damascus.
A ringleader of a terrorist group called Abu Salim also was killed in another operation near the capital.
The army has also killed several foreign terrorists in the southwestern city of Dara’a near the border with Jordan.
Syria crisis started in 2011 when pro-reform protests turned to a massive insurgency following the intervention of western and regional states.
The unrest which took in numerous terrorist groups from all over Europe and the Middle East is going to become one of the bloodiest wars in the recent history.
