Citing french semi-official sources, Syria Truth website reported that brigadier general Khaled al-Halabi, the former head of the public security affairs of the Syrian military in al-Raqa province, had sold information to French authorities by receiving 100,000 euros.

The report added that he had been keeping more confidential security information about Syrian military and that he has been planning to sell them to the US spying agency CIA.

The report claimed that the human rights watch has also had bought information from al-Halabi through their representative in Beirut, Nadim Houry. Al-Halabi has received $30,000 for handing over the secret information about Syrian prisoners and their backgrounds.

On March 4, security personnel loyal to Jumblatt helped al-Halabi and his family to flee al-Raqa before al-Nusra Front terrorist group entered the province, the report said.

Jumblatt, is the most prominent leader of Lebanon's Druze community, has been in contact with al-Halabi since the beginning of 2013.

The report says Jumblatt has pushed Syrian Druze community, which has around 700,000 members, to join the anti-government groups in Syria.

With the start of crisis in Syria, Jumblatt has been siding with the opposition to help overthrow the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
