Iran unveils 5 new military products

Iran unveils five new military products in a ceremony in the Iranian capital Tehran, the Defense Ministry announces.

The ministry said that the new defense products, including weapons and personnel combat equipment, went on display in a Wednesday inauguration ceremony hosing Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi and other military officials.

 

On Tuesday, Vahidi said that the ministry plans to supply large numbers of different types of missiles to the Armed Forces this week occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr city during Iraqi-imposed war.

 

Iran on Monday started mass production of a highly mobile home-made air-defense system named Herz (Protector) 9.

 

Over the past years, Iran has made important breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems.

 

The Islamic Republic has repeatedly assured other nations, especially its neighbors, that its military might poses no threat to other countries, insisting that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.
