Syrian army has entered to the strategic town of al Qusayr in Homs province near Syria-Lebanon border, Al-Alam reports.

According to our reporter on Sunday, Syrian army clashed with militants in al Qusayr, killing several militants, and clearing the town from terrorist groups.

The town is in control of the army and militants were pushed back to surrounding districts.

The Qusayr district has been the focus of fierce fighting between the army and terrorist groups in recent weeks.

The area is considered strategically important because it connects the capital to the Mediterranean coast.
