Dozens of Palestinians have staged on a protest in the Old City of occupied al-Quds calling for a third uprising against the occupying regime of Israel.

Dozens of Palestinians threw rocks at Israeli forces and two of them were arrested, according to Israeli cops.

Some of the demonstrators were carrying banners which called for a "third intifada," or anti-Israeli uprising.

The protest was an extension of the Palestinian demonstrations held in the Old City earlier this week to mark the "Nakba" (catastrophe) of the occupation of the Palestinian lands by the Israeli regime.

Every year on May 15, Palestinians all over the world hold demonstrations to commemorate Nakba Day, on which Israeli soldiers also wiped nearly 500 Palestinian villages and towns off the map, leaving an estimated total of 4.7 million Palestinian refugees and their descendants dreaming of an eventual return to their ancestral homeland more than six decades later.
