Syrian army forces have foiled an attempt by foreign-backed terrorists to enter Syria from Lebanon, as the army continues its operations to secure the areas along the borders.

According to military sources, clashes erupted between the army and terrorists in several parts of the country in which many of the terrorists were killed and their arms were destroyed.

An attempt by a group of terrorists to infiltrate from Lebanon into Syria near city of Homs was foiled by the army, which left several terrorists dead while the remaining fled back to Lebanon territories.

Another clash was reported in Ardra area at Damascus countryside, between al-Nusra-linked armed terrorist group and army soldiers. Several militants were killed or injured in the conflict.

Meanwhile, two groups of militants clashed apparently over sharing materials they had stolen from another group of militants which they had killed days before.

A military source said that a unit of the armed forces destroyed a number of explosive devices and explosives manufacturing factories in an industrial area in Yabroud in Damascus Countryside, killing all the terrorists inside, most of whom were foreign nationals.

The source added in a statement to Syria’s SANA news agency that, among the terrorists there were 12 leaders of the terrorist groups and a large number of terrorists were from Saudi, Tunisian, Libyan and Afghani nationalities.

The Syrian Army strategy aims mainly at securing international highways linking different parts of the country as well as villages and small towns which suffer presence of terrorist groups such as al-Nusra Front.

The insurgency is getting a dreadful image with terrorists attacking and killing people and army soldiers brutally.

A video footage recently circulated on the internet showed a terrorist named Khalid al-Hamad, also known as Abu Sakkar, cutting out an organ of a Syrian soldier and biting into it.

In another incident in eastern province of Deir al-Zour, Al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front terrorists executed a group of eleven men.
