The Defense Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday saying that the new products are going to be displayed with the presence of senior Iranian military commanders and officials.

Iran has made important breakthroughs in its defense sector in recent years and attained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems.

On Thursday, Iran displayed its most advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) designed and manufactured by the country's engineers.

The stealth drone, named Hemaseh (Epic), was unveiled in a special ceremony in the presence of Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi.

The ceremony was held on the sidelines of a conference to commemorate the Defense Ministry's martyrs.

The Iranian Army has recently test-fired different types of newly-developed missiles and torpedoes and tested a large number of its home-made weapons, tools and equipments, including submarines, military ships, artillery, choppers, aircraft, UAVs and air defense and electronic systems, during massive military drills.
