Having concluded his visit to Jordan, the Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, Tuesday evening, al-Alam News Channel reports.
He was received by the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mualem, the deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mekdad, and the Iranian ambassador to Syria.
Salehi is expected to hold a separate meeting with his Syrian counterpart. The Iranian Foreign Minister will discuss ways to help the Syrian nation resolve the current crisis and respond to the Zionist regime's recent attacks.
In Jordan, Salehi met with the country’s King Abdullah II, the Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, and the Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and talked about bilateral relations and developments in Syria.
