In a letter to the United Nations, the Foreign Ministry said that the Israeli aggression caused deaths, injuries and serious destruction.
Rami Abdel Rahman of the Britain-based Observatory said, "At least 15 soldiers were killed, and dozens more are missing" after Israeli regime’s airstrikes near the Syrian capital.
"These three sites (targeted) would usually have around 150 soldiers in them, but it's not clear if they were all there at the time of the strikes," he said.
The Zionist regime attacked a research center in the suburbs of the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Sunday following heavy losses of al-Qaeda-affiliated groups at the hands of the Syrian army.
The attacks, which were seen as a provocative move threatening regional security, were the second time in a week that the regime of Israel has targeted Syrian sites.
Syrian government released a statement on Sunday that the Zionist regime’s airstrike on Syrian soil have opened the door "to all possibilities" and made the situation in the region more dangerous.
Syria "has not just a right but a duty to protect the homeland and the state and the people from any attack, whether internal or external, by all ways and means and capabilities available," the statement said.
The Zionist regime’s violent attack on Syrian soil has raised fears among regional countries about regime’s sudden and stubborn moves posing a threat to their securities too.
