Walid al-Zoubi told Alalam on Wednesday that Washington is looking to provide a pretext to make another “foolish mistake” in the Middle East.
He said the Syrian government has no objection to unbiased international fact finding groups investigating what is happening in the country.
The US and its western allies have been raising questions about Syrian army operations in fighting with terrorists, accusing the government of using chemical material.
On Tuesday, Syria’s Envoy to the UN Bashar al-Jafari submitted documents showing terrorist groups used chemical weapons on civilians during an attack on a town in Idlib province.
Al-Jaafari said use of chemical weapons is not only "a red line" but "a blood line" that cannot be tolerated and demanded the UN to launch an investigation into the case.
