One of the “most dangerous” terrorists of Al Nusra front was killed in a Syrian army mission in northwestern city of al-Ladhiqiyah.
Mazen al-Meftahi, of Qatar nationality, was one of the most wanted terrorists in Syria, known to be among the “most dangerous” militants because of taking part in killing many civilians and army soldiers in the clashes over Syria since 2011.
Syrian army, which is conducting a clearing mission in al-Ladhiqiyah, fought militants in al-Merij village in suburbs of the city, killing several terrorists and destroying their equipment.
Syria is facing a Western-backed armed insurgency since 2011 which has left many people dead. Thousands have fled the country since eruption of the conflicts which is fueled with terrorist groups coming from across the Europe and Middle East.
