Certain members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) are plotting to blacklist Lebanese resistance movement ‘Hezbollah’ as a terrorist organization, according to a Bahraini lawmaker.

Bahraini parliament speaker exposed the plot, saying that certain members of the PGCC have decided to put Hezbollah’s name in terrorist groups' list.

This comes as several armed terrorist group-lets such as al Nusra are committing crimes against the Syrian nation and government receiving direct and vast support from certain members of the PGCC.

Bahraini speaker Khalifa Ahmed al-Zahrani said said the Arab public considers the move as a political ploy in line with pressures from the Zionist regime of Israel. This is while that certain PGCC members have remained silent to the terror activities of the groups tearing Syria, killing, torturing and abducting civilians and army soldiers.

Hezbollah is one of the most powerful parties in Lebanon and enjoys a large community support in the country.

The Persian Gulf Cooperation Council is also a political and economic union of the Arab states bordering the Persian Gulf and is located on or near the Arabian Peninsula, namely Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates. Jordan and Morocco have also been invited to join the council.

Some of the members of the PGCC such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia are accused by the Syrian government of supporting terrorist groups in the crisis that has gripped Syria for nearly two years.
