The Afghan government has ordered the withdrawal of US forces from Wardak and Logar within two weeks for fuelling insecurity and instability in the provinces neighboring the capital Kabul.

"In today's national security council meeting, Afghan President Hamid Karzai ordered the ministry of defense to kick out the US special forces from Wardak and Logar provinces within two weeks," said presidential spokesman Aimal Faizi.

"The US special forces and illegal armed groups created by them are causing insecurity, instability, and harass local people in these provinces," he told a press conference.

"Earlier, Wardak elders had complained to Kabul officials regarding the US special forces and some Afghans working in the framework of these forces," Faizi said, adding “These groups enter Afghan civilian houses by force, take people without any reason, and steal their properties."

Faizi said, nine people disappeared after US Special Forces conducted a unilateral military operation in the province.

"Similarly, a university student who had gone home to Wardak province from Kabul was taken by these forces in another operation. His beheaded body was found later elsewhere," Faizi said.

The afghan official said they have asked the US and NATO forces to "prevent the illegal activities of the US special forces."
