Fresh car bomb attacks have left more than a dozen people dead and over 70 other injured across Iraq, local media reported.

At least 8 people were killed and 44 others wounded on Thursday, when twin car bombs exploded in Sallahudin province, north of Baghdad, the capital city, according to local media reports.

Another car bomb went off in the holy city of Karbala, some 100 kilometers southwest of the capital, killing 4 pilgrims and injuring 17 other, of whom 8 were Pakistan nationals.
A similar attack also claimed five lives and injured 10 others in the city of Hilla, south of Baghdad.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombings.

The latest wave of violence comes only a day after 40 people were killed and over 250 others wounded in a spate of terrorist attacks across the country.

This is while that the Iraqi government has doubled its efforts over the past few months to enhance security situation across the country.
