(MNA) -- A military source told SANA that army units operating to the northeast of Hama city reestablished control over the villages of Um Trika, Um Hezim, Blil, Taliet Rajm al-Ahmar, Tal Shteib, al-Zabadi, and Tal Bolus after fierce clashes with the terrorists of al-Nusra.
As a result of the clashes, a number of terrorists were killed and dozens of them fled to neighboring villages after they pulled the bodies of their dead to cover up their losses.
The reporter said that army’s engineering units combed the liberated villages as the army reinforced its positions in them, adding that the army launched a new military operation against sites of Jabhat al-Nusra in the towns of Um Turkia and al-Zafiria near Idleb’s administrative borders.
Meanwhile, Army units continued operations against gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the southwestern countryside of Damascus, inflicting heavy losses upon them.
SANA reporter said that army units on Sunday carried out intensive operations against gatherings and fortified positions of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Daher al-Aswad hills to the south of Bard’ayia hills after 24 hours of establishing control over Bard’ayia hills by the army.
The reporter added that violent clashes took place between army units and the terrorist groups which started to retreat after a short time of the clashes while army units continued to advance.
Terrorists started to flee away towards Mugher al-Mir to the east of Daher al-Aswad hills, leaving behind the bodies of the killed terrorists and their weapons, according to the reporter.
