Those trying to put under threat security of the Islamic Republic and impose sanctions on the nation are the main losers of the elections, Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani said Friday evening after casting his vote at the 12th presidential elections in the Iranian capital.
Shamkhani hailed the massive turnout in the elections, describing it as a symbol of the strength yielded by the Islamic establishment in Iran.
Holding a secure, disciplined and orderly election nationwide in the face of a continuous efforts by the enemies to promote insecurity and crises in the country, is a clear demonstration of the Islamic system’s strength.
Election of a new president will usher in a new chapter for cooperation and joint efforts in line with realizing the guidelines set by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to promote the country’s economic, political, social and cultural objectives, he said.
