The Syrian army units engaged in clashes with the ISIL in al-Talileh region close to Arak oilfield near Palmyra, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists and smashing their vehicles and arms.
Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets launched repeated airstrikes against the ISIS positions in al-Sukhnah town, Arak oilfield, Station 3 region and the hills in Northeastern Palmyra.
The attacks fully blew up the terrorists' bases in the region and inflicted a large number of casualties on them.
Also, in the Northern parts of Homs, the Syrian troops targeted the positions and gathering centers of al-Nusra (Fatah al-Sham) Front in al-Qajar, Kissin and Um Sharshouh in Northern Homs, inflicting losses on the terrorists.
The Syrian army units also attacked the al-Nusra positions in al-Rastan and al-Sa'an al-Aswad regions and Aidoun village in Northern Homs, killing and wounding tens of militants and smashing a number of their military vehicles.
In a relevant development in the province on Wednesday, the Syrian army intensified its offensives against the ISIL and al-Nusra Front terrorists in Homs, killing and wounding tens of militants.
The army units launched special operations in the Eastern parts of Homs province, killing a number of ISIL terrorists in the areas of al-Bareda , Talet Ayed al-Hassoun.
They also destroyed five military vehicles in Rihoum village.
The army troops also smashed the military vehicles of the al-Nusra terrorists and killed a number of Takfiri militants in an artillery attack on their positions in Um Sharshouh village and North of Tal Abu al-Sanabel (hill) North of Homs city.
The terrorists' gathering centers and fortifications were also targeted by the Syrian soldiers in al-Houleh area, FNA reported.
