The sick terrorists captured the woman as she attempted to flee from a village called Albu Fahed, just north of the city of Tikrit, late last night.
It is assumed the children who were forced to witness the horrific murder were trying to escape with their parent in the Sharqat district.
She had been trying to reach another part of the district, which is controlled by Iraq's security forces.
Al Mada, a daily Arabic newspaper published in Iraq, reported: "At late hour yesterday, the ISIS members captured a woman, while trying to flee from Albu Fahed village in the left coast of Sharqat district, which is under the control of ISIS, to the areas secured by the security forces in the right coast of the district.
“The ISIS members executed the woman by firing squad in front of her children, on charges of leaving the land of caliphate and collaborating with the security forces and al-Hashed al-Shaabi.”
The so-called ISIS is well known for publicly executing its victims and often films the horrible deaths.
Earlier this year, videos emerged showing children apparently executing hostages on behalf of ISIS, also known as Daesh, Express reported.
